star wars asciiStar Wars ASCIImation is exactly what it sounds like. It is Star Wars but in ASCII format. The scenes are surprisingly accurate. It is almost scary how much time they spent working on this. There are different scenes which you can watch or you can watch the whole movie. This web site is worth a look. You will definitely be amazed.

hubbleHere is a good web site for all of you space nerds out there. This is a must see even if you have slightest interest in space and astronomy. Hubble Site contains information about the Hubble Space Telescope as well as discoveries, news, general astronomy information, and pictures. The gallery is easily my favorite section, but you can spend a lot of time in any of the sections. The pictures are truly amazing. If you like Hubble Site then you will also like NASA's Astronomy Picture of the Day site which I will post a link to.

falling sandFalling Sand is a great time waster, especially for those of you who have an artistic side. Actually, it is good for those of you who who like to think that you are artistic as well. Four streams of different colored sand are constantly falling, and you can alter the sand using walls, fire, plants, etc. It is interesting to see how you can mix the sand and make interesting pictures. They also have some pretty cool screen shots of ways they have altered the sand. This may not kill a lot of time, but it is definitely an interesting place to visit.

most expensive journalThe Most Expensive Journal quickly puts your stuff to shame. They take general objects and show you the most expensive one they can find. An example would be the $200,000 hood ornament picture to the left. The entries are very interesting to read. Who knew people would make such simple things so expensive? It must be nice to have that kind of cash laying around. Go ahead and check out the lifestyles of the rich and famous.

You can keep a permanent portfolio with real stocks as well as mini game portfolios.  Compete against others for a chance at some cash and prizes.  Outside of its real time stock quotes, Wall Street Survivor offers several tools to help you develop your investing strategy.  There are stock screeners as well as the Wall Street Survivor University.  There are also forums and member blogs where you can read what others are saying about the market.  They also offer a loyalty points system which gives away prizes if you simply participate within the web site.  This is a great place to waste some time and learn about the stock market.

Most of them you will recognize from movies, weddings, circuses, graduation, holidays, commercials, and other random sources. It is fun to see the composer and song name to some of the songs you've had stuck in your head in the past. You can preview the music easily on the list.
